Stay Young…

-
In 1900 the average life span was 49 years old. The average life span today is 78 years and growing!
-
According to the CDC 2009 report: the new life expectancy is now 78 years and 2 months. The overall death rate is down and the survival rate for infants is up! Basically more people are living longer.
-
Scientists from the University of Texas reported on the TODAY Show in April of 2006 that by the year 2050 there will be over 800,000 Americans over the age of 100 and many will be living to 150.
-
If we are going to live 100 years, we need our longevity to have QUALITY!
- We don’t merely want to exist on this planet – we want to live, work and play our whole life – we want to enjoy a QUALITY life!
-
The biggest problem we have seen with the increased life span is the increase in musculoskeletal problems. In other words, your mobility function… the ability to move around like we used to.
-
We have increased our odds of living past 80 and we have increased our activities but we have not changed the way we take care of our spine.
-
The most common cause of functional disabilities in persons over 50 years of age is SPINAL DISORDERS.
-
If we lose our mobility at 65 and live to 105, that is 40 years of immobility and pain!
-
Life is always better without pain!
Consider this…
If your spine were visible and on your face would you take better care of it? We don’t wait till our teeth fall out before we take care of them and now we must not wait till our back “goes out” before we take care of it either.
